💡 Getting started

❓ What is a Manager ?
➡️ Within the myDid ecosystem
, the issuer acts as the Manager
of their community. Their primary role involves crafting certifications such as
Certified Badges
,
Peer to Peer Badges
, and
Badges of Participation
. This enables community members to receive and share further certifications. The manager bears the responsibility of signing and authenticating the creation of these verifiable credentials through the myDid mobile application, thereby ensuring the security and integrity of user data.
#
👪 Why creating your community ?
➡️ The myDid application empowers managers to provide verifiable credentials in the form of badges. These certifications are both official and traceable via the blockchain, ensuring that users' data is secure and always accessible, and that they can authenticate their certifications through the app.
Regardless of whether the manager represents a community, an educational institution, or a sports federation, they all have the capability to enable their members to certify achievements or confirm their participation through these badges.
#
🎨 Community Studio
➡️ The community studio is designed for managers to efficiently oversee their community, handle their verifiable credentials, and assign roles to their community members.
myDid app
It is mandatory for all managers to first install the myDid application and complete the process for creating a Digital Identity (DID). Only after this can they begin issuing certifications from the community studio interface.

🔍 Difference between badges
➡️ All badges (certifications) are available in three distinct types. There are classic Certified Badges
, which are exclusively issued by managers. Peer to Peer Badges
, designed for peer-to-peer exchange between community members. And Badges of Participation
, which act as evidence of attendance at events. For more detailed information about each type of badge, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions section.

📝 Blockchain and signature
➡️ For every transaction conducted on the blockchain, the manager is obligated to authenticate and sign the transaction using the myDid application. These transactions are subject to fees, and managers are provided with the flexibility to pay either in fiat
currency or using the SYL
cryptocurrency.
