# 🏷️ Integration into the myDid Community and discovering its features

➡️ By creating your myDid account, you automatically join the myDid community.

This community is the core of the myDid ecosystem and offers several benefits:

  • Access to Peer to Peer Badges: Discover and exchange badges specifically designed for myDid community members. These badges can symbolize skills, interests, or achievements within the community.
  • Interact with Other Members: Connect with other users of the application and exchange badges.
  • Discover the Community: Explore the different aspects of the myDid community, including events, announcements, and collaboration opportunities.

# 🧩 Managing contacts and exchanging Badges

➡️ In myDid, managing contacts and exchanging badges are done in a secure and interactive manner, using QR Codes and Nostr technology. Here is how to proceed:

# 🗨️ Adding contacts via QR Code

# Sharing public identifier or QR Code

  • To add a contact, ask the person to share their public identifier or their QR Code, which is available in the Receive a badge section of the application.
  • This information can be shared via community communication tools like Discord.

# Scanning the QR Code to add a contact

  • Use myDid's QR Code scanning feature to scan the QR Code shared by the other person.
  • The scan will automatically trigger a contact request to that person.

# Managing Contact Requests

  • When you receive a contact request, you can choose to accept or refuse it. By accepting the request, the contact is added to your network, and you can start exchanging badges.

# 🔄 Badge Exchange

# Sending Badges

  • After adding a new contact, you can send them badges directly, without waiting for the request to be accepted. This allows you to initiate badge exchanges at the beginning of the interaction.
  • To send a badge, click on Give a badge and use the community filter to simplify the search and select the appropriate badge to share with your contact.

# Receiving Badges and Managing Contacts

  • When you receive a contact request, it may be followed by badge sends from the other user.
  • If you choose not to accept the contact request, you will not be notified about the badges sent following this request. This means you will not be informed of these badges until the contact is established.
  • Once you have accepted a contact request, you will then receive notifications to review and accept the badges that were pending.
  • This method ensures a structured management of your profile, allowing you to receive only badges from approved contacts, while preventing spam and clutter of unsolicited badges.

# Choice of Pseudonym

  • Each user can specify a pseudonym that will be shared during the contact adding step.
  • This pseudonym helps to identify users within the community and facilitates communication.

# 📌 Types of available badge models

➡️ In myDid, discover distinct badge models: Certified Badges illustrating goals to be achieved and valued contributions within the community and Peer to Peer Badges for exchanges among member.

# Certified Badges

# Official recognition

  • Certified Badges are a more formal form of recognition, often awarded by community managers.
  • These badges recognize specific skills, achievements, or notable contributions within the community.

# Exploration and criteria

  • These badges are visible in the Explore > Certified Badges section, where members can read the criteria required for each badge.
  • This review encourages members to undertake the necessary actions or steps to meet these criteria and obtain the badges.

# 🤝 Peer to Peer Badges

# Exchange and sharing

  • These badges are intended to be freely exchanged among myDid community members.
  • They can symbolize skills, shared interests, or specific achievements within the community.

# Access and discovery

  • Members can access these badges via the Give a badge option in the application, filtering by community.
  • It is also possible to explore them in the Peer to Peer Badge section, where a community filter is also available.
